About the Role:

Our Finance team is expanding, presenting an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in preparing the business for public market scrutiny through Canonical’s planned IPO. We are seeking someone with IFRS expertise, a keen interest in process improvement, and the drive to contribute to a highly productive team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the month-end reporting process for timely and accurate information delivery.
  • Take full responsibility for a segment of the ledger processes aligned with your strengths.
  • Support the year-end audit process and statutory reporting.
  • Contribute to the finance team’s plans for IPO preparation.
  • Enhance the efficiency of financial processes, ensuring compliance.
  • Share knowledge within the team for effective coverage.
  • Actively develop your skills to stay current with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Establish strong relationships with key colleagues outside the finance team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CPA, etc.).
  • Experience at a large public accounting firm or public multinational corporate accounting department (preferred).
  • Exceptional academic track record and career performance.
  • NetSuite or similar enterprise-grade systems experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to four times per year.
