Job Title: Head, Business Development for Data Solutions

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objective: We are on the hunt for a strategic thinker to lead our Business Development and sales team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping our sales strategy, building and maintaining client relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets through the sale of our innovative Data Solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop the Sales Plan:
    • Prepare forecasts and KPI reporting for sales and Business Development.
    • Use data for organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting, and strategic planning.
  2. Leadership:
    • Provide visionary leadership to the Business Development and sales team.
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
  3. Client Relationships:
    • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
  4. Strategic Planning:
    • Work closely with the executive team to develop and refine the company’s sales strategy.
    • Identify market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for growth.
  5. Business Development Initiatives:
    • Lead initiatives to expand the company’s client base.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the IT solutions market.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams for client alignment.
    • Work with other departments to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric approach.
  7. Strategic Partnerships:
    • Identify and negotiate partnerships enhancing the company’s digital offerings.
  8. Market Intelligence and Adaptation:
    • Use market intelligence to adjust sales strategies and tactics.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
  9. Pricing Strategies and Presentations:
    • Develop pricing strategies and models for digital products or services.
    • Present digital products/services to potential clients and partners.
  10. Cross-Sell Services:
    • Work closely with branch liaison officers to increase cross-sell services and products.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Proven track record in IT solutions sales with a minimum of 5 years in senior sales leadership.
  • Strong understanding of the IT solutions market, technologies, and trends.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
